Partnership With Parents

It is the policy of Gracedew International School to recognize and affirm the crucial role of parents as primary educators of their children. The School is committed to being open, inclusive, welcoming, accepting and respectful of all parents who visit the school.

Procedure

  • Parents must book an appointment to visit the school before the child starts.
  • Every effort is made to make both parents and children feel welcome.
  • Parents are also informed of any upcoming events and current information displayed on the Parents Notice Board, in the Newsletter or sent by text message and letters.
It is also our policy to provide opportunities and time for parents to talk individually with staff/management on:
  1. Child's progress and observation records
  2. A joint strategy for behaviour management
  3. Setting realistic goals for their children
  4. Changes in the family home
  5. Difficulties or concerns
  6. Suggestions for the school
  7. Joint evaluation of the school.
