from home. The School doesn't accept
responsibility for the loss of such items.

birthday only when they give prior notice

age-appropriate. NO drinks, toffees,

Homework
Our staff is encouraged to provide
homework experiences for our students at a manageable level appropriate to
their age level. Teachers monitor the
amount of homework asked of the
students and welcome your comments
as to how much time your child spends
completing at-home assignments.
Parents must sign after the completion
of each homework before the child
submits itto school.
Homework can mean reading, project
work and review of concepts or
completion of work assigned during
class. There are many ways parents can
help with homework. These include:
Photographs and Publicity
From time to time, photographs of the
children in our school may appear in
newspapers, magazines, brochures,
publicity materials and/or educational
pieces for training. Your permission for
photographs of your child to be used
without compensation is part of this
agreement. Your child's photo can be
displayed in their classrooms, websites
and social media sites. If a parent would
rather not have a child's photograph
taken for these purposes, please inform
the schoolin writing.
Mobile Phones and Other Electronic
Devices
Mobile phones and other electronic
devices are not to be brought to school.
Money To Be Brought To School
Money given to your child to school
should be kept to a minimum to prevent
your child from buying things from
sellers along the street. The school is not
responsible for any money your child
comes to school with.
Absences
Excused absences are defined as
absences that the school regards as
resulting from legitimate reasons.
These could include:
Extended Absences
If it is known that a child will be absent for
an extended period, the parent/guardian
should state this information at the time
of their first notification. The parent/
guardian does not have to call again if the
child is absent during the reported
amount of time. If, however, the time is
extended, the Parent/Guardian MUST
notify the school.
It should be noted, however, that multiple
absences may negatively affect a
student's academic growth which may
puta student at risk of repeating a class.
Lateness
Students must be punctual. Lateness is
disruptive to the educational process and
is inconsiderate to both teachers and
other students.
The arrival time for JHS is 6:40am;
Primary is 7:00am; Nursery 2 and KG
are 7:00am; Créche and Nursery 1 are
7:30am. A pupil is considered late when
he/she arrives at class after the
aforementioned times. The closing time
is 4:00pm (See arrival and departure.)
Early Pick Up
No child is allowed to leave the premises
before school closes. A child can only
leave the school before closing time
when parents or guardians seek
permission from the school. All-day
attendance is important for every
student, every school day.
Vacation
Families are strongly discouraged from
taking vacations and trips during the
school year.
Notice of Withdrawal
The school requires one month's notice if
a child is being withdrawn. Failure to do
so might delay the preparation of
documents for the transfer.
